The Chess Scene was something I did purely for fun. I wanted to put something together that was relatively simple, but could incorporate many of the features I had implemented in Dart. It was a very enjoyable exercise.

I decided to experiment around with materials. The pawn model was (and still is, actually) my sample model of choice.

Depth of Field

Depth of Field can add a lot to an image. I was surprised at how different feelings can be conveyed through focus. For example, the scene feels a bit ominous when the queen is in focus.
